In short
- QC photos follow the seller, not the agent that took them.
- Paste a Hipobuy link, another agent's link or a Taobao, Weidian or 1688 link to see the QC photos other buyers received.
- No photos yet only means no one's order has reached a public database; Hipobuy still photographs your own item.
How Hipobuy QC photos work
Hipobuy spells the marketplace out in its links: product/weidian/ for Weidian items, numbered paths for Taobao and 1688. Paste a Hipobuy link and the finder resolves it to the listing and pulls the QC photos already on record. No app and no extension needed; any phone or desktop browser will do.
When an order reaches the warehouse, staff photograph the item before it is shipped abroad: that is a QC photo. Hipobuy does it for your order; the finder shows you the photos taken for earlier buyers of the same listing, before you spend a cent.
The photos belong to the seller's listing, not to the agent that took them, which is why photos from other agents' warehouses apply to a Hipobuy order just as well. On this spreadsheet 1655 finds already have photos on record; they are marked QC on every listing page.
Weidian, 1688 and Taobao are where these sellers list; the finder unwraps any agent's link back to that original listing.

What to look for in QC photos
Compare batches, not just photos
When a listing has photos from several dates, look at the newest first. Sellers change factories, and a batch that looked right in spring can drift by autumn.
When to reject
Reject when the flaw is structural (wrong shape, wrong proportions, damage, a clearly different colour from what you ordered) or when several small flaws turn up at once, because that points at the batch rather than the single item.
The stitching
Look for even, dense stitching that runs straight. Wandering or loose stitches are where cheaper production shows itself first, and they are easy to see in a close-up.
Look at colour in daylight shots
Warehouse lighting runs cool or warm. When a photo was taken near a window, trust that one for colour and use the rest for construction.
Check the box and the extras
Boxes, dust bags, spare laces and tags are part of what you are paying for. If they matter to you, check they are in the photos; sellers leave them out more often than you'd think.
Item by item
| Item | What to check in the photos |
|---|---|
| Bags and accessories | Hardware weight and engraving, edge paint, the lining pattern. |
| Shoes | Midsole glue lines, toe-box shape, heel-tab stitching, how sharp the insole print is. |
| Clothing | Print alignment and texture, tag fonts, hem stitching, colour against the listing. |
| Sizing | Ask for a measurement photo if you are between sizes; the letter on the tag means little. |

Hipobuy QC finder: questions
Is this a Hipobuy QC checker?
Yes, for other buyers' photos: drop in a Hipobuy link, another agent's or a marketplace link, and the finder lists every QC photo on record for that listing. Your own item's photos come from Hipobuy after you order.
How do I find QC photos for a Hipobuy item?
Copy the item's link from Hipobuy (or from any other agent, or straight from Taobao, Weidian or 1688) and paste it into the finder at the top of this page. It unwraps the link to the seller's listing and shows the QC photos other buyers received, grouped by date, newest first.
Can I reject an item after QC?
The time to reject is at the warehouse, before international shipping, while the item is still in China and an exchange or refund with the seller is possible. Check Hipobuy's own return rules for the details.
How do I see QC photos in my Hipobuy account?
Wait until the order has reached Hipobuy's warehouse, then open your Hipobuy account and go to that order (or your warehouse items): the QC photos are shown on the item. Check them, then approve it or ask for an exchange or return while it is still in China.
Do I still get QC photos from Hipobuy if I use this?
Yes. Hipobuy takes photos of your own order once it reaches the warehouse. The photos here come earlier: they are what other buyers got from the same listing, before you spend anything.
Does the QC finder for Hipobuy work with other agents' links?
Yes. Links from other agents, and raw Taobao, Weidian or 1688 links, are unwrapped to the seller's listing exactly like a Hipobuy link.
Is the QC finder free?
Yes: no account, no signup, no limit for normal use. The site earns a commission only if you sign up to Hipobuy or order through its links.
What are QC photos?
QC stands for quality check. When an order reaches an agent's warehouse in China, staff photograph the actual item (stitching, tags, soles, hardware, often on a measuring mat) before anything ships internationally. You approve or reject it from those photos.
Do QC photos from other agents apply to Hipobuy?
Yes. QC photos belong to the seller's listing, not to the agent that took them, so a photo taken for someone who ordered through a different agent shows what the same seller ships to a Hipobuy buyer.
What is Hipobuy?
Hipobuy is a shopping agent: you give it a link from Taobao, Weidian or 1688, it buys the item from the Chinese seller, photographs it at its warehouse and ships your items abroad together in one parcel.
Does Hipobuy have QC photos?
Yes. Hipobuy photographs your items when they reach its warehouse in China, and you see those photos in your account before you pay for international shipping. This page shows the photos other buyers already got for the same listing, so you can check an item before you order it.
Why are there no QC photos for my link?
Either nobody has ordered that exact listing yet, or no one's photos have reached a public database. It is not a sign the seller is bad, and it does not affect the photos Hipobuy takes of your own order.
